The Subsea A-Flux™ uses Axial Flux permanent magnet rotors to deliver unrivalled power density for marine and underwater applications. It features fluid fill, ruggedised & marinized construction as well as an array of sensors for prolonged operation in the harshest conditions.
Introducing the
A-Flux

Subsea axial flux electrical machine
Application
Propulsion
For surface and submersible propulsion systems, the Subsea A-Flux is attached by direct connection to propeller or thruster. It delivers unrivalled power to weight ratio, enabling vehicles to travel faster and execute longer missions.
Fluid Power
Hydraulic fluid power is used to execute heavy-duty tasks. By upgrading to the A-Flux motor, hydraulic power systems will become more compact, light-weight and efficient.
Generation
When coupled to a power grid or battery storage system, the Subsea A-Flux converts rotational motion into electrical energy. Underwater tidal energy can be harvested to supply remote locations with power.
Winches
The A-Flux delivers substantial torque in a compact form. When coupled to a winch it can be used to raise and lower heavy loads in deep sea conditions.
