Cable Survey Crawler

Cable Survey Crawler

This vehicle was designed to track underwater cable for purpose of on-shore, nearshore and offshore (up to 500m water depth) cable burial assessment.

Aluminium Canopy Structural Analysis

Aluminium Canopy – Outdoor Venue

A stiffened Aluminium shell-structure was analysed for imposed and weather load according to Eurocode and Irish NA. Our team performed member design, joint and foundation analysis.

A-Frame Structural Analysis

A-Frame Structural Analysis

The A-Frame was analysed and verified for compliance with DNV-ST-0377, DNV-OS-C101 and Eurocode. We used STAAD.Pro software with Idea StatiCA for complete member and joint design.

Wellhead Decommissioning tool

Wellhead Decommissioning Tool

This tool is designed to simultaneously drill holes and insert pins for the safe lifting of wellhead casings.

Barge Stability and Crane Sea Fastening

Crane Transport

For an offshore operation using Crawler Crane, we assessed barge stability, vessel structure, and designed a sea fastening arrangement.

Crane Repair

Service Crane Upgrade

To extend the life of an offshore service crane, we evaluated loading / usage detail, then designed an in-situ upgrade.

Diver-Installed Bellmouth for HDD cable duct

Diver-Installed Cable Bellmouth

We produced 3D model, fabrication drawing and flat pattern to fabricate a bellmouth. The item is fitted at entrance to HDD cable duct to allow the pull-in of a subsea power cable.

Anode hang off arrangement

Offshore Wind Turbine – Anode Rigging

We designed and manufactured a bespoke Anode Hang-Off arrangement for an Offshore Wind Turbine. The designs were produced in rapid time and shipped straight to our customer for onward installation on site.

Screenshot Lift Plan

Engineered Lifting Operation

This project involved the lifting of a complex steel structure. We were tasked to carry out structural analysis of the structure during transportation and lift, including the design of lifting eyes and preparation of a dedicated lift plan.

Offshore Roller Quadrant

Cable Roller Quadrant

We produced 3D models and fabrication drawings for a Roller Quadrant to enable the installation of offshore power and telecommunications cables. The structure was designed in accordance with relevant standards including DNV-ST-0378, EN 13001 and EN 1993.

Subsea plough 3D Model

Subsea Plough Design

Based on a concept proposal, we produced a complete design package (3D model, fabrication drawings and engineering calculations) to enable our client to build a subsea plough. The machine is designed for the simultaneous lay and burial of power and telecommunications cable in shallow and deep water applications.

Structural analysis using STAAD.Pro and Idea Statica

Structural Analysis – Stainless Steel Platform

Using STAAD.Pro and Idea StatiCA software, we provided member and joint design for a platform, staircase, pipe hangers and supporting arrangement. The software enabled us to rapidly optimise the structure to reduce fabrication costs.

Vessel Mobilisation with Winch

Multi-Cat Vessel Mobilisation

Our team designed a special purpose steel grillage to enable the mounting of heavy duty winches onto timber deck of a vessel. The overall project scope included various deck layouts / sea-fastening arrangements for winches, CFE spread, PLGR.

USBL Survey Pole

USBL Survey Pole and Vessel Mobilisation

As part of a survey campaign, we were tasked with designing a survey pole which could be deployed through the vessel moonpool. The solution was a retrievable USBL survey pole, which when deployed was clamped firmly against the vessel structure to minimise vibration / sensor inaccuracy.

Subsea Lift Plan

Diver and ROV Spread Installation

We prepared deck layouts, sea-fastening details and structural analysis for installation of Dive and ROV equipment onto ship. As part of the scope, we produced various lift plans and site layouts.

Crane Load Distribution Structure

Crane Extension

Our client required a means to increase crane reach at Quayside, for loading heavy items of cargo onto ships. The load bearing capacity of ground was limited, so we designed a load-distributing steel structure which would allow the crane to be positioned closer to quayside edge.

Simulation of a Subsea Pin Pile installation and recovery

Orcaflex Simulation

A simulation was conducted for hydrodynamic load on a drill & casing during deployment, recovery and survival scenarios. The results were used to maximise the weather window and limits for safe operation.

Lift Path for 300Te Structure

300Te Structure Decommissioning

Our team provided engineering services for decommissioning of a substantial marine structure. As part of the project, we prepared detailed rigging arrangements, lifting plans and hydrodynamic load assessment so that the Jack-up Vessel could safely recover the structure.

Fabricated Steel Chute for Cable Lay / Recovery

Chute Design and Sea-Fastening

In this project, we designed a bespoke umbilical chute, prepared a deck-layout, and produced sea-fastening details. The cargo included excavators, roller boxes and winches for a cable pull-in campaign.

100Te Winch Hold-Back

Our team conducted engineering analysis for a sheet pile arrangement to support a 100Te winch as part of a cable installation project. We produced a suite of drawings including general arrangement, fabrication drawings and rigging arrangements.

Cargo Sea-Fastening

Cargo lashing / sea fastening calculations and drawings for 2x Excavators, chutes, lifting beams.
